Our Doctors

Woodinville Veterinary Hospital was opened in 1975 by Drs. Joe Bergevin and Frank Merrit, and was the first veterinary clinic in Woodinville. Dr. Anita Lorenzen acquired the clinic in the early 1980’s, and moved it to its current location in 1987. In 1997, Dr. Dan Kennedy moved up from an associate at the clinic to become the owner, and has continued to serve the people and pets of Woodinville for over 20 years. In September of 2007, Dr. Adrienne Hale purchased WVH from Dr. Kennedy, who has mostly retired but still sees patients on Fridays. In 2009 Dr. Laura Robertson joined the practice as a full time associate. Dr. Hale and Dr. Robertson are looking forward to developing new programs and expanded services in the future.

Dr. Hale grew up in southern California, and acquired her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis, in 2004. Her areas of veterinary interest are senior care, surgery, and dentistry. She has five cats, three dogs, and two horses. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, and backpacking. Dr. Hale also enjoys country dancing, and helps teach two-step lessons once a week. She competes in dressage and trail rides with her horses.

Dr. Laura Robertson earned her DVM degree in 2009 from Washington State University, where she graduated as the number one student in her class. Her areas of interest are internal medicine, surgery, and clinical pathology (interpretation of laboratory findings.) In her spare time, Dr. Robertson enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing. She has also been training and running half marathons over the past three years.

Dr. Kennedy earned his degree from Washington State University in 1987. His areas of expertise are surgery, dentistry, and endoscopy. He and his wife have two dogs and a cat (who thinks he is a dog). In his spare time he enjoys photography, bee-keeping, discovering local out-of-the-way restaurants, and has a small microbrewery.

Our Team

Woodinville Veterinary Hospital is proud to introduce you to a fantastic team of employees that keep our hospital running smoothly.

Walking in the front door, you have the privilege of first meeting Colleen and Jamie, our front desk team members. These two ladies are always ready and willing to assist you with a smile, and will take care of you from your first phone call to your check out. They are amazing at coordinating all of our appointment scheduling, phone calls, and office paperwork.

Once you are welcomed into the exam room, your pet will be wined and dined by our exam room assistants and technicians. Jennifer, Sarah, Desiree, and Steve are all dedicated, competent team members who will assist the doctor while we perform the physical exam, and coordinate any treatments or diagnostic tests that are indicated. They also work in the surgical area of the hospital, assisting with procedures and monitoring anesthetized patients.

Anytime you come into our clinic, you may also meet Sara Pfister, our lead veterinary technician and office manager. Sara is a versatile and essential member of our team, handling most of our administrative responsibilities in addition to various technical duties.

Every single member of our team is compassionate, skilled, and highly valued. We are fortunate to have such a great collection of individuals, who complement each other and make Woodinville Veterinary Hospital a fantastic place to work.
